Henrietta’s Voluntary and Garden Charity Work

www.gardenmuseum.org.uk.  Curatorial work at The Garden Museum since 2014 – Since the museum gets no public funding, it relies on support of volunteers. I have supported the curatorial team with research and providing editorial for their publications. I plan to offer garden design workshops there allowing participants to work from their imagination and from the museum’s extensive garden design archive as inspiration.

Gardening and horticulture has been proven to offer therapy and rehabilitation to people of all ages. I have been involved with garden charity work since 2011.

www.rootsandshoots.org.uk  – Roots and Shoots is a training provider of environmental education to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and with disabilities. As a volunteer, I delivered a creative design course for participants to plan an imaginary garden.

www.thrive.org.uk  Thrive, the gardening charity for people with disabilities. As a volunteer, I taught students to design their own garden

https://ttwandsworth.wordpress.com/community-garden/

Bramford Community Garden has restored an area of unused land in Wandsworth Town to create an attractive and productive nature haven. This provides benefits to local residents, volunteers of all ages and wildlife.  I have helped with advising on plants, both improving existing and new introductions. Also I help with supply of new stock negotiating very beneficial prices for this public space.
