Seasonal gardens

This Clapham Common front garden shows planting of purples, pinks, silver, acid greens with varied foliage. So the planting evolves through the year to make this a truly seasonal garden. York stone stepping stones are formally positioned on a path of limestone chippings. Here we also mix traditional and contemporary materials.

Green front gardens

Warm tones of grasses, terracotta pots and gravel give this front garden a welcoming appeal. Stained deep green timber boarded boundaries give the illusion of a yew hedge. They enhance the verdant nature of this space. Gravel has a soft textural appearance. Also, its crunching sound is useful as a security device!  Above all, spring blossom, mid summer perennials, autumn grasses and daisies and winter berries and scented flowers give all year interest.

Clapham front garden

This formal Georgian home with coach house in Clapham Old Town has a restrained colour palette. So here we use limestone paving, speckled pebbles and charcoal setts. Also to compliment these neutral colours, we used evergreen and grey planting.

West London front garden

This Little Venice front garden shows graphite coloured sleek troughs. These are repeated both on window ledges and by the railings. Also euphorbias, alliums, agapanthus, sweet box and euonymus provide colour throughout the seasons.
