We needed some suggestions for planting in our garden in Barnes and found Henrietta’s website. We liked the photographs and reviews there so we called her up to come and have a look. It’s a fairly mature garden with some quite large trees and shrubs and we needed someone to come in and subtly re-plan it rather than completely re-design it, Henrietta totally understood this and made some great suggestions for planting and design tweaks to sharpen up the shape of the plot. She was very easy to work with, warm and friendly, and seemed to spend hours in the pouring rain sorting out the planting. She sent us a list of the plants she recommended and we loved her choices, she supplied all the plants and oversaw the planting.
We are very happy with how our garden looks and looking forward to it’s progression in the future.

Henrietta was recommended to me by two of my neighbours who were delighted with her work. Each of our three gardens are lovely but in very different ways, showing Henrietta’s versatile approach.

NS – Streatham Family Garden – March 2017

I used Henrietta Gentilli Garden Design to completely redo our garden a year ago and am very happy to recommend her. She worked closely with me to create exactly what i wanted for our small family space (i researched a lot ahead of time so knew what i liked) and was really helpful in deciding on how large the decking are should be, where the shed should go, and having a vision of how the garden would look once complete. After the builders we had in previously, it was so refreshing to use Henrietta. She and her team were professional, patient with the children, and so nice to have around, approaching the project with good humour and enthusiasm whatever the weather!

AL – Wandsworth Family Garden

Our garden was an uninspiring rectangle with worn lawn, tired fencing and overgrown unloved plants. We have 3 children aged 3 to 9 and a friend recommended us to Henrietta Gentilli. Her experience as a designer and mother of four meant she was able to transform our garden which gives us all enormous pleasure. The garden is practical and pretty – the children lose themselves here and David and I find it a relaxing space which offers us a chance to garden and to entertain  April  16

 TA- Little Venice Exotic Garden

My garden is small but backs onto a large and beautiful communal garden.  I wanted a contemporary and  serene garden which would link well with an internal formal reception space. The brief was for a space in which I could entertain. I also wanted a water rill and focal points for sculpture, and all to be softened by lush architectural planting. Henrietta’s studio provided a really beautiful garden which I will enjoy for a long time from now. GG-  Kensington Courtyard Garden and Battersea Ornamental Garden

HGGD came to our help when we wanted to revamp our small garden in W6.  The dark claustrophobic space was changed to a light and uplifting terraced garden. When we moved to a much larger garden we asked HGGD to help create a green oasis. This meant curved lawns, abundant planting, arbours and arches with  a fountain and careful lighting throughout.  We were involved throughout the process and found it opened our eyes to gardening. We had fun and we appreciated her lighthearted informal approach.   March 15

NT –  West Sussex  Large Country Garden

Six months ago, we commissioned Henrietta to replant various areas of our garden. A wildflower meadow, formal planting around the house, soft perennial planting around the pool and an orchard. We are now blessed with a garden which offers seasonal change. It has distinct areas which seamlessly flow into each other and a garden which blends with an old farmhouse and countryside beyond.
